I had $220 in my account I made a purchse of $15 and One of $5 leaving me $200. I took out $60 for gas (lets face it with $4 gas it was an emergency). Then a check went through for $188 giving me a balance of -$48. Then a $20 payment went through for a balance of -$68. Okay let me start off by saying I know I am in the wrong but I don't think overdraft fees of $175 is fair for a -$68. I have had this account for a long time and have only had this problem once (when my husband bought something without telling me) and got it fixed in a timely manner. $175 in fees??? Are you kidding me. I had talke to the lady at the bank, a guy online, and another lady on the phone and no one wants to explain why I have so many fees. I had 5 transactions and 5 fees. I know for a fact I had $220 in my account to start. After doing some research online I learned that Bank of America takes out the items when they want... Basically if you have $220 and then purchase $15, then $5 then $188 they will send the $188 through first so that they can get overdraft fees for the other things... Even though you bought all the other thiongs days before the $188. The company is quick to remind you every second they can that it is all your fault and that you should have planned better. I am not saying they are wrong but if I had known that my money would have been stolen like this then I would have just kept it under my pillow instead. This is not a bank it is an excuse to steal money!!
