This is a scam; I contacted Century Bank about the bogus checks that Atlas sends out. Atlas Financial Trust sends a letter with a check claiming that you have been awarded 250,000 in a sweepstakes, and all you have to do is pay the taxes on the winnings, which is $2,975.00. They also send a "check " to cover the supposed taxes for $4,875.00. They HOPE THAT YOU TAKE THE BAIT AND SEND A MONEY ORDER OR WESTERN UNION TO THEM, and then you can cash the check they have sent to you. This is similar to how the Nigerian email scams work. The letter is sent in a plain envelope fro what looks like to be from Canada with no return address. Beware there is no account and the check is bogus! Do not send any money, western union and money grams cannot be traced once they are cashed. This is a scam and a rip-off!!!
