Bank Of America
Overdraft fees with postive bank ballance

Overdraft fees are something we live with when we use money we don't have. Its part of banking. However, bank of America sees things differently. I had an account with $700 funds in the bank. Plenty of money. I made a deposit of $20 and then make charges on the debit card and wrote one check totaling to just under $700. Plenty of money in the bank right?

Well not if your Bank of America. They hit me for overdraft fees, to be honest I have heard so much BS from B of A, that I don't even know if they know why, totaling about $400 and the best excuse I could get was that the date on the check predated the date on the deposit and would have over drafted my account if it would have gone through the very moment I handed the check to the person I gave it to. Which was utter non-sence as there were plenty of available funds to cover the amount.

In fact, until bank of America started issuing overdraft fees, my balance, both through their ATM and online banking, was always a positive amount.

Needless to say they can keep their overdraft fees, and I have taken my account to CBTX.

On a positive note, the lady at the bank when I walked in tried to help all she could, but someone else locked her out of the account to make changes. I also like their new ATM's, but not enough to get robed again.
