$260 was taken from my checking account unauthorized. This caused a a $132 overdraft on my account. Fifth Third told be to dispute the transaction and if it was found that the transaction was not authorized by funds would be refunded. It took nearly a month for Fifth Third to send me a letter stating that the $260 would be credited back to my account. I went into the branch I opened my account with and I was told I would only receive the $260 not the additional monies taken due to their error. The branch manager (Arthur Sido) stated because I closed my account he would not refund the overdraft charges. I tried to explain why I closed it, and he stated he did not understand my reasoning. I asked for a higher manager, and was told he was the only one who can determine if my money is given back. I then contacted the Banking Center and was told by a supervisor he has the right to refund me my money or not. Fifth Third Bank are thieves.
