This company is the most malicious of all the legal debt collectors. I bought a lemon in college (black plymouth sundance) from a company in 1995. The car broke down within the 3 days that I purchased it and just caused major problems. I bought the raggedy car from National Auto Sales in Sandy Springs, the car completely broke down within a couple months of having it. I was told they sold it and never thought anything else about it since it never showed on my credit, etc. I have never been contacted for this car in over 13 years which the worth of the car was probably $100. Well they must have sold the balance to these malicious people, they waited 13 1/2 years to find me, of course once I got a good job with a good salary and once the fees totaled $11K and blindly sent a garnishment to my company requesting funds totaling $1200/monthly after taxes. First of all, this charge is not on my credit and I couldn't even think of something that would have been this amount. I called the company and they advised that they didn't know the company or what the charge was for. I said well how can you legally garnish me and don't know what you're garnishing me for. Now, I am pissed I keep calling them and they are the nastiest group of ingrates you will ever encounter in your life. You would dare to believe that actual citizens work for this company. Now this is what they do, they don't indicate on the information to the organization that you have 2 choices: Pay it in full or in 6 months. Well my company did the draft, do you know that it expired 5/1/08 and they were going to wait another 13 years to take it back to court for garnishment on the balance and then charge me again at $11K. This is like blackmail but because I am an anointed sister, I had the luck of getting one of the nicest collectors at the office for the 1st time since November who explained the 6months and now I am just paying the balance out. Now, since this garnishment I have lost my new house, my car, had to send my son with his father, almost lost my job because I am completely pneurotic right now. You know before the nice lady, I was told Bankruptcy was my only option. Well I survived the 6 months without bankruptcy and this is finally over but woe to the evil company and legislature that allows this type of organization to co-exist with other humans. I do believe that I will still be around when this fake law firm falls to it's base and whomever is the owner of this unjust company I hope to the high heavens that mercy is given when the wrath of the Father comes to strike!!!
