Bought a couch and endtable from Haverty's. They had a 2 year no interest through Citifinancial Retail. First month, they have the address wrong and I never received a bill. Guy I talked to is pretty cool and fixes it all for me. Get a bill the two months & pay them. Now this month - bill is due on 12th and looking over checkbook, see last months payment to them, but I dont have the bill. Go online - oh wait - I forgot - you cannot go online with these turds to check your account, unless you have a citi bank account.
Call them - dont want to be late with a payment. This is on a Saturday, so no way to get the bank to process an auto-draft for Monday. Cant go online to take care of either. They say $15 to pay by phone. When I refuse to pay that - they say I already used my 1 courtesy as they politely reversed the late fee on their wrong address. They say its my fault I didnt get the bill. They accuse me of calling with only two days before bill is due as if I am trying to avoid paying it. Finally - pay the fee - have no choice. Dont want a late fee.
They refuse to put this information online! They refuse to be reasonable about my not receiving the bill. They refuse to acknowledge that I am calling them to fix the situation before its due and they treat me like a deadbeat.
After I am done with them, I call Haverty's. Haverty's credit department HATES CFRS to a person. They say that they are treated like S by Citi. Obviously, somebody at Haverty's is getting good bribe money to stick with this outfit.
There are several really good financing firms, Alliance Data, GE Money, Chase Retail, etc., that dont treat honest customers like smelling pigs.
Will not do business with any firm doing business with Citifinancial.
