So many banks are ripping people off with overdraft fee's! I've read stories of excessive bank fees and hidden fees but now I must say I'm out done. I made a deposit with my bank "Keybank" at the ATM machine. I was told if you make a deposit before 7pm your transaction will hit that day.
Well that isn't how it works. My deposit that was made at 7PM and should have post to my account when i drove off really didn't. The bank allow a transaction to come through before the deposit which gave me a overdraft fee of $38.00. Once the transaction pulled my account into a negative balance that's when they allowed the credit to post to my account. This bank charges $7.00 to cash a check.
If I write a personal check to someone and they take the check to Keybank, the bank will automatically take $7.00 from the person cashing the check even if it's a personal check from their bank. I mean there has to be some way to stop these banks from getting over on people. One of the customer service reps at the 1-800-key2you told me "this is how the bank makes their money by charging free". NO! FOR REAL?!?
I really think this is modern day pimping by corporate america. Charge all types of fee's to the consumer's let them pay the bank up the A&* and go broke trying to pay us back! This is why this country can't get ahead because we are always trying to find ways to scam each other out of money. Especially in corporate america!
