I have been banking with BOA for 7 months only and the first 2 weeks I experienced fraud on my account of $215.00, luckyli I filed a fraud complaint emidiately and my account was credited. Well 7 months later I'm still with the same bank and I figured I'd give them a try, well that was a mistake, last week on Thursday I went to the bank at 4:50, the bank stays open later on Thursdays until 6:00. I handed the teller a bank of america check and told her that I would like to cash the check first before depositing it to my account. I asked her to write my available balance on the deposit slip and my balance was $245.00. I knew that a check for a bill of $155.00 would clear soon, well it cleared that evening after I deposited my money and a transaction of $15.00 and $8.00 also cleared. The next day 3 overdraft fees of $35.00 each were applied to my account. I called customer service wondering why I was charged these fees if my account had enough money to cover all three transactions and they said because I deposited my money after 2:00 pm. And anything after 2:00 would be considered the next day service. I was furious, I told them that there were no such signs indicating what time I had to deposit my cash, I thought because the bank was opened I would be credited that same day and they said they the signs were posted all over the bank. Why are they open until 6:00 o'clock if it doesn't count, they said it doesn't matter if you deposit cash or check it would have still posted for the next day. I think thats elligal, I didn't realize that cash was held as a pending transaction. Please! Don't bank with bank of america they are slithering snakes, watch out!
