Bank Of America
Scam Artists

Around 10:00 CT on 3/7 I noticed there were four debit/holds on my account that were not on there the morning of the same date. I called B of A around 7:30 CT on 3/8/08 and asked why were there holds on the account. An online employee that begins with the letter "S'" informed me that this is a new procedure they have started and they sent this information in 6/07. How convenient she picked nine months ago. I proceeded to tell her that I did not agree with her especially being charged $35 on a transaction for $1. She was very sarcastic and informed me that I needed to keep better track of my money. At this time I asked for a supervisor and the only thing he said is that he supports his representative and that I needed to go to the bank and have them explained this procedure to me. So much for customer service.

I went to a branch in Arlington and spoke with an employee with the initials of "MM" and she was not aware of the new procedure so she had to call somewhere else and asked and an employee by the initials of "TR" explained to her this "new Policy". When MM asked her to explained to me TR disconnected the call. MM explained to me and I proceeeded to tell her that is unfair because there was an available balance at the end of 3/6/08 of $12.08 which included all of the pending transactions. She proceeded to tell me that they (which means B of A) can see the negative but the customer cannot and that I needed to keep better track of my money. There were four transactions that totalled less than $30 and I was charged $140 in NSF fees.

I do not understand that B of A have been around for a very long time and why they feel the need to get more money from their customers. I informed MM that this going to cause a lot of customers mortgage payments and other bills to become delinquent and she sat there as if she did not care.

Customer service was extremely unprofessional and they are not willing to help any of their customers. They do not care if it will affect their livelihood. I already have another account that I am very much happy with but I am searching for another bank to replace B of A.
