I received a call from the Rate Reduction Center which came into my house on an automated system. After pressing 9 and a short wait, I was able to speak to a live person. When I asked for the person's name, they hung up.
I believe this violates not only the national DNC list, but also FTC regulations. If I remember correctly, they are to provide three pieces of information when requested.
1. The name of the company
2. The physical address
3. Their phone number
I have filed a complaint with the FTC with as much information that I could give them, which wasn't much. I will also file a complaint with the Texas Utilities Commission. They monitor the DNC list here in Texas.
P.S. They also blocked caller ID. Another violation.
