I signed up with Hess Kennedy with good intentions. When I first spoke to Carlos, he seemed to understand my situation. I told him right up front that I was on SSI and that was my only means of income. He put together a plan for me to follow. It was $527.64 down payment which was deducted from my checking account June. Then $131.91 a month after that for 36 months.
They started taking the money out right away, but after 5 months I was still getting phone calls and letters from the credit card companies. I called and spoke to Carlos and he said it takes awhile. I sent him copies of every piece of paper and lists of phone calls, times and name of companies calling me.
I have also gone to court four times already and the lawyers there told me because I am on SSI they can't take any money from me.
It is now 2008 and I am still getting phone calls, letters and have to go back to court.
I called Hess Kennedy up last week and spoke to a girl named Katie. She said she would get back to me. A week went by and I didn't hear from her, so I called again. She put me on hold, came back and told me that because I am on SSI I can't be a client with them. I got quite upset and told her they knew I was on SSI right from the beginning. That is when I told her I was going to stop the money taken out of my checking account and she said don't worry we stopped. I asked her what are they going to do with all the money they took from me. The total now is $3,033.93. Her reply to me was I don't know.
I am hoping that there is a way that I can get at least some if not all of my money back.
