Hess Kennedy/Rescue Debt ruined our lives. They took over $17,000 of our money for a period of thirteen months and did absolutley NOTHING! We have been sued in county court by two debt collection companies. We did not even know these suits were coming until we were served with the papers. After many threatening phone calls from collection companies we were advised by Hess Kennedy's counselors to request a change of address on our billing statements.
We had very good credit until we began our experience with Hess Kennedy/Rescue debt. We were told many times by the company representatives to do nothing and let them handle our account. When we received our court summons we telephoned them and it took many phone calls and waiting on hold before anyone would talk to us. We have also asked for itemized statements in regard to what they have negotiated and we have recieved nothing.
In February, my wife and I began Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings. Our credit is a nightmare. Yes, we owed the debt BUT Hess Kennedy/Resuce Debt was supposed to help us pay the debt. If you need help go to a reputible credit counseling service. This was not an option for us. We were too far in debt. Now we must deal with the nightmare of chapter 7 bankruptcy.
