Fairbanks Capital Corp outlandish ripoff late fees

My mortgage loan was sold to Fairbanks. Mailed my check on 8/2/02 to previous lender. Shortly after I received new loan info. The old company sent check to Fairbanks, although the still charged a late fee. This is unfair as I had no idea that my loan was transfered. They should overlook this one time by looking at the postmark.
