My mortgage was bought by Fairbanks Corp and it has been a nightmare. They charge late fees that are more that half the amount of the loan payment. The fees are charged whether the payment is on time or not.
If you call and ask for information on your loan to be sent to you, you are charged anywhere from $10 to $350 for the information.
On the bottom of the letter I received to today it states: " This letter is from a debt collector and is an attempt to collect a debt." I did not realize that my mortgage had been sold to a collection agency!
I am currently in the process of getting this loan refinanced, the sooner the better. This company has to be the worst mortgage company in the USA.
