I received a phone call one night, from a woman offering me a Capital First Mastercard with a limit of $2500 for only a processing fee of $29.95. I though this was to good to be true and I should have kept it at that. All the woman needed to get my card out to me was a fee of $29.95 from my checking account. I asked the woman several time if this was a real credit card, and she told me yes every time, a Mastercard. So I did it.
The day I received my package (August 26) I called to cancel. The woman I spoke with was rude, very stupid, and kept trying to get me to use their company to get my credit back on track. Finally I got it over to her that I did not want to use that company, and she cancelled it. I asked her if my checking account would be charged since I did call within the first seven days like the pack said. She stated no.
September 13 my checking account was charged $59.95 and $99.95. I called on Saturday Sept 14, and the woman I then spoke with stated that it was noted that my account was cancelled and the money should not have come out. The lady that I spoke with on the 26th of Aug had not cancelled the account all the way out. Then I spoke with a floor supervisor who then transfered me to another dept. He stated that indeed my account was cancelled and the money should not have come out. He said that I would get a refund. All I needed to do was send a bank statement showing that the money came out, and I would receive a refund.
I sent the bank statement in certified mail, and it was to arrive today (Sept 17).
I called the ripoff place back today, and they had not received it yet. I read that I need to go to my bank and fill out a form to get my money back since they had no auth to take it, and close the account down. And that is was I will do. I hope that this company pays for what it has done, and I cannot believe that people would work for such a hell hole.
