I was called and told I was put into this collection agency for a chase providian credit card. My husband said he has never applied for one. They said the last payment was in 1988 almost 20 yrs ago and are now calling us. We never received any bills or statements regarding this so called account. They told us today they would take away the over 6,000 in interest if we gave them 4500.00 today. My husband and I are very upset over this. They had his ss number and our old address. What can we do?
