I recieved a bill from the above company on 8-3-05 for a credit card that I have never owned. The bill was for $3,656.83 for the card and $3,230.44 for interest making the total bill $6,887.27.
I tried to call the 800 number when I recieved the bill. All I got was put on hold for over 20 minutes and when I got tired of holding I used the voice mail, which was full and couldn't recieve my questions.
My husband looked up Chase Providian and saw that there were reports from other people recieving this as a ripoff too.
I think it is a shame that anyone can now get so much information and try to extort money from people.
