Vanderbilt ripoff of innocent families and no one will help, the goverment needs to regulate this company

I have written a report about vanderbilt about 6 months ago. I had to move from my home that i bought from vanderbilt due to the fact that my home molded out and the insurance company that vanderbilt owns and is in the same building as vanderbilt offices are refused to pay for the damages even though i paid my mortgage loan and paid the insurance each month.

I hope others can read this and not be fooled by this company, it is a shame that all the money I had for a home went into the purchase of this home.

Yes when I saw the nice park in Clayton Estates own by vanderbilt i thought this was a great place to raise my family. I did not realize this was a scam until my home payment started to go up and my lot payment went up. I wanted to keep my home but my daughter has a very severe lung problem, and we could not stay in a home that had mold due to water coming in through the walls of the trailor. Sure some of you would say why did she not pay for the walls to be fixed. I did not have the money, but you know vanderbilt knew this. They threaten and told me to leave everytime i mention that i was waiting on the insurance company for a answer. Do you know that the park manager is the adjuster for the home first insurance company that vanderbilt owns. He came to my home and was the one that took the pictures.

Well lets see you buy from Vanderbilt, they do not tell you that they own the park through another company and then the insurance company is in the same group. Do you really think they care! I used to get so upset with them even when they threaten everything I worked hard and now my credit is ruined because i left my home. Dont get me wrong my daughters health is more important then the likes of this company. I have pictures of my home and all the reciepts cancelled checks of the payments i made to this home for 5 years and this is all trash.

This company took all i had and they are still taking because a new person moved into the home i owed. Did they fix the walls so they could resale this. I am not sure. I hope another family is not a victim of this as we were. What i donot understand about this company i caused no problems paid my lot fee, mortgage payment, and they got rid of a person that did pay everymonth because they would not pay for the wall damage in the home.

I am a victim, but there are so many people that buy into this scam everyday because the goverment does not regulate this company. My credit is ruined and I will not be able to buy another home. I work fulltime and pay my taxes just as you all do.

I hope that someone will go after this company. And I hope that the Attorney General will step up for the ones that tried to live the american dream to own a home and then have to face issues with a company that is not a true mortgage company. Yes i can say this considering that I was also told to just move by a vanderbilt representive because my home was already paid for in thier eyes and they could sell it quick like they did. I moved they sold this home within three weeks. If just the insurance company would have done the right thing I would still be living the american dream with a home. Good luck to them because I know that things happend for a reason and i hope someone takes from them what they took from me and my family.
