Deposited a $5000 business check into my checking account that was no good. The company reimbursed my loss with a cashier's check, but the Bank of "Rip-Off Americans" charged me $33 per check that bounced—a total of eight checks which amounted to $264 that they REFUSED to credit my account&which they should have done since the error was not mine.
After that financial disaster, I closed out all of my accounts, including my safe-deposit box at the request of my financial consultant and the law firm I chose to handle the harassment that followed by choosing to consolidate my loans.
Afterwards, I kept receiving bank statements with charges and fees on my CLOSED account, threatening letters, phone calls and constant harassment.
In fact, it got so bad that I had to move, change my phone number and resolve to stay away from anyone even remotely connected to them.
Since then, they have received several violation letters but the harassment continues, slowed down but unabated.
