My son received a letter today saying that his account with Midland Funding was turned over to Jefferson Capital Systems for collections.
Funny thing is, they addressed it to my son at my home in Texas. No where on file is a Texas address for him. He has lived in the same house for 14 years in California.
I pulled up Midland Funding, and all I can find is that it is a Mortgage Co. My son has never owned a mortgage, nor a second mortgage.
When I told them my son doesn't even live in this state, they stated they sent it to his old address. That's a good one. I moved to Texas 4 years ago for work. He has never lived in Texas. So if this is so up to date, why would they not send it to his real address.
Rip off
Please direct me to any class action suits that you know of regarding this. This has to be mail fraud of some sort.
Thanks.
