My loan was sold by gmac to midland mortgage company in 2008. I called midland to ask about gettiong my loan refinanced and what their interest rate was i was then asked what state i lived in. I told them i lived in virginia and they told me they did not refinance loans in virginia. My question is this legal for them to refuse to refinance loans in certain states. My payments have always been on time and even send in a little extra when i can.
