I have been a customer with Bank of America for a little while and usually only encountered minor problems with them. Some time they have proved to be helpful many times they were not. My account was closed due to it being in the negative with was my own fault, I blame nobody but myself for that.
However, when I phoned Risk Management because I was directed to by customer service I encounter only rude and very unprofessional people. The first young lady was very short in her responses to my questions but still assured me that my payroll that was deposited the same day Friday June 30 would be availale 24 hours for me to withdrawl from the bank. She was so rude that I decided to call back to speak to someone else thatcould provide the answers that I needed. The next young lady was more disrespectful than the first. She didn't let me even ask her a question before she yelled at me teling me my money would be ready on Saturday I couldn't take it anymore and asked for a manager, she said that she was the manager I asked for someone else and her response was if I didn't want to talk to her then nobody else was available I told her that her behavoir was unacceptable and hung up, proceeded to call again and got someone that was half way decent.
I was assured my money would be available on Saturday morning she informed me that my ATM cards were deactivated so I would have to vist a teller. The next morning after working the overnight shift leaving y job at 8am I traveled to the closest Bank of America to withdraw my payroll and go out of town with my family for the 4th of July weekend to my surprise I was informed that I couldn't withdraw my funds because someone from Risk Security placed a deposit only notation on my account! Why would I add funds to an account that they are preparing to close? And why would that notation be put on my account after I was informed that I could get my funds 24 hours after the computer updates?
I'm so sure the second woman that was the most disrespectful put this bogus notation on my account. Now, my holiday was ruined because I didn't have access to my funds that I worked for.
I don't owe that ban a dime and my funds have yet to be released. I'm in the process of writing to the CEO and filing reports with the Department of Financial Institutions, Federal Trade Commission the Office of the Comptroller of Currency and filing a Police report.
They have no right to keep my money that totals almost $1,000 that clearly states on the automated system "available funds"
