I too made a payment to someone thru paypal after mistaking that they accepted paypal for this purchase [to canada].
I have had the accounts for ages 1 business and 1 personal but hadn't used them.
The friend I sent $20.00 payment for just simply "refused" payment so that it would be returned to my account. That was over 3 months ago.
When searching for help on this issue the "Refusal" is required to either party to aide in regaining funds. Well. I never recieved the money back and when calling and speaking to someone they tell me that the business account information needed to be changed since I selected to use an alternate shipping address at the time of purchase.
They walk me through the process and of course it was sent immediately and of course it didn't go through or process correctly... And still no refund.
Another month goes by and I call again well now there are notes to the "needed" changes and they want me to do it all over again! 3 TIMES total, and still nothing!
Now since the legal tender of usa funds came from specified account then no further or additional information is or should need be supplied to return to / credit to the originating account information.
Sorry folks... This pisses me off to no end! $20.00 may not seem like much but there are times when it would make a big difference.
Company's online or offline including info-mercials [which I do enjoy. Ensomniac] misleading or false print and forwarding account information to other companies giving them access to your unaware accounts and funds should hog-tied and flogged!..
Another company to beware of is Free-Down Real-Estate affiliated or partnered with Shoppers Discount.com... I'll make report of that theft and illegal account access separately.
As of May I have yet to recieve my refund and am refusing to send any changes to the account for them. As it is anytime I have spoken to the phone reps customer service employees they all say 1 and the same thing everytime...: "I'm sorry but we are not authorized to access your account information". Then what the hell are they being paid to do? What can they do? Nothing but walk you through a bunch of Bull Poop you already know or have already done...
PayPal or PayPain or Pal-Your-Getting-$0.00 returned and balance is $0.00...
Beware of the bad things and am sure not all have been bad but when the milk spoils it smells the whole dayum fridge!
