On September of 2008, I was trying to make a payment by paypal. When I logged in my paypal account, the screen was asking me my complete bank account number and information. I did not want to give my complete bank information so I just logged out. I tried again over and over but paypal just froze my account and I cannot log-in. As I was checking my bank account, I noticed an unauthorized payment from paypal, one for $50 and another for $62, both cost me an overdraft of $22 each. When I ran across usacomplaints.com, I read a complaint very similar to what happened to. Well, come to find out, when paypal makes unauthorized withdrawals, they freeze the customer's account so they will not have access to complain about an unauthorized withdrawal. I cannot find a way to get the paypal phone # to complain because my account was frozen. Through my friend's account, I was able to get a phone # and address where I can file a complaint. Since October of 2008 to this date, I have never received response from Paypal. I just went ahead and contacted my bank not to authorize any payment from Paypal and I never used my paypal account since then. To everyone who reads this, if you are using paypal for making payments, please be careful and constantly check your bank account for unauthorized withdrawals from paypal. Be careful!!!
