My elderly grandmother was recently taken for $400 from Bank of America. I am currently taking care of her for a few hours a day, and have been noticing a lot of telemarketers calling. I told her she needs to call her bank and let them know to watch out for anything. Well, one man called one day with an Indian accent, and talked to my grandmother. Well she DID NOT give any information to this guy, but somehow he ended up charging her $400 for nothing. Well before any of this, she had transferred her money to another account, SO KEEP IN MIND BOA WERE AWARE OF THIS FRAUD STUFF. She left $50 in the account to leave it open. Well, here comes a check for $400 dollars to BOA IN HUMBLE TEXAS, and they cash it for them. They cashed the check knowing about the fraud, and knowing she only had $50 in her account. Now she not give her the money back. She has never bounced a check in her life, and they are going to let the scammers get away with this??? Shame on you bank of america. We are in the process of having her money taken somewhere else. ANY SUGGESTIONS? My grandmother has saved her money her whole life, she lives by herself, and she can't walk. Thanks a lot bank of america.
