My husband has one of these cards. We send in payment, but I found out that if the payment order does not get processed on the day it was recieved, they will hold it for up to 2 billing days and by that time you should have a new charge. Sent the bill and they said they recieved it on the 12th. Payment is due the 13th. Payment was on time right? Wrong, household held my payment until the 13th and then charged me a late fee of 29.00.
I said if the payment is due on the 13th and you recieved it the 12th why the late fee. Maam it didn't get entered until the 13th. I asked it still got paid on the date it was due so why the charges? You need to send in your bills sooner is what she told me.
Another incident with them is we sent in a payment of 50.00. When we got our next statement they reported it as. 50. I called and told them it was for 50.00, why would I send in. 50?
I asked them to please fix the error, and they told me it wasn't there error. If I would just pay my bills, none of this would happen.
I told them if they weren't such dumbasses, this would have never of happened. Needless to say more late fees. 29.00.
I said you promote helping people with bad credit, and your the reason so many people just give up. I also found out that there is an 99.00 charge of bad credit given to my husband's credit report I guess that doesn't come off until you pay off the entire card.
When your done paying off the card, they charge you for cancellation and then for all 26% intrest on the cncellation fees. I am so angry that a company is allowed to do this and no one or government will do anything about it.
