I was being charge late fees on my Household Bank Card, when my payments were being sent in plenty of time. So I decided to mail my payments directly through the post office with conformation of delivery.
Household Bank was still charging me late charges, I told them I had proof they received my payment through the post office, so they reversed the over the limit fee.
This month I mailed my payment regular mail in plenty of time, and was charged a late fee. I called them on the day it was due they told me payments are processed the day they come in. If I wanted to make a payment over the phone I could stop the late fees. I told them the payment should be there and that I mailed out more than my minimum due.
My payment was due on the 16th of the month which was a Friday. I called Saturday they still hadn't received it. Sunday there was no mail delivery, and Monday there was no mail delivery because it was a holiday.
Guess what they received it on Monday and processed it. Tell me how that can be when there was no mail delivery. I suggest to anyone making payments send it certified mail with a signiture or some type of delivery confirmation of the day they received it. They can't dispute the day it was received when you have proof from the post office.
