I have used this chase card (was not always chase, but they bought someone) for TEN YEARS. I have paid my balance in full every month, and is has ALWAY been due between the 13th and 16th of the month. I logged onto the account to make a payment today and realized that my payment was late because it was due on the 9th. I called them to talk about this because they had already charged me a late fee and there would be finance charges on the card now next month, they would refund the late fee, but said that they couldn't undo the impending finance charge, because it was not their error.
I admit, I didn't READ my last statement that told me this, because I review all of my activity before I pay online, but I still don't take blame for this. I have been paying at the same time every month for TEN YEARS, and they suddenly changed the date just so they can collect late fees and finance charges from all of the other responsible people who always pay their bill in full.
I told them that if there are any charges on my account next month, I'll stop using chase for good. They still won't give me a one month grace... B*st*rds
