Household bank cahrges finance charges one time of the month and overlimit charges at a seperate time, My statement date, finance charge date, account secure plus etc on the 9th of every month. Over limit charges 1st time on the 12th three days after the statement due to finance charges and account secure plus, over by $44.80 min payment $61.80 paid $75.00. Per the bill payment due on the third of next month paid on the 2nd. Rec'd next bill $30.00 cahrge applied on the 19th of previous month for overlimit??? No payment due until the 3rd of next month statement on the 9th - Ten days later charged with overlimit fee (30.00) again.
Called and asked about this - told shopuld of paid the bill right away and we wouldn't be charged overlimit fee. I did not recieve bill until the 16th? Due date on bill the 6th of next month - told they are within their rights by banking rules — spoke with a banking attorney they are LYING YES LYING - they cannot legally do this, My account was for only for $300.00 dollars so not worth persuing with attorney fees etc, anyone with higher credit line beware this is how they cheat consumers. Also note they post payments later than they are rec'd to charge late fees, Make sure payment is mailed two weeks prior to due date. I have checks posted prior to due date and late charges showing payment rec'd late - called thier system reads payment rec'd day late???
