Ripoff trying to collect on a paid settlement account

In August I settled a charge off account from a bad divorce. (another story entirely!) I was told it was now paid in full and would receive a letter stating so. I never received the letter (surprise) and the phone number I had was no longer in service (surprise). So, no news is good news, right? WRONG. Yesterday, 7 months later, I receive a letter of collection. The collection agency for FCNB went under and sold their "collection accounts" to another agency. Of course there is no phone number to contact FCNB or the previous agency. I was able to backtrack my account with the number above! And PROVE it was a paid in full settled account.

Good luck to all dealing with this company. I hope the phone numbers above help someone else.
