TouchSmart IQ775 Monitor Fault After Three Years

My 3 year old HP TouchSmart IQ775 has a faulty monitor. I hardly used this computer and spent 1500.00 on it. I need help to fix this problem and have learned from over a hundred consumers that this is a common problem even with brand new ones!!!
