I was issued a prepaid card in Tallahassee, FL, where I donate plasma. I misplaced that card in July and called Citibank prepaid card services for a replacement. After 7-10 business days I did not get the card, so I called them back. I had failed to give them my apartment number. This was discovered on August 17th. I corrected the mistake, and a new card was mailed on August 22nd. As of this writing, I have not received the card.
I called them today, and they have no idea what happened to the card. I was told another one is being mailed and I must wait 7-10 days. I need my card. They should help the consumer. They wanted me to pay $20.00 for expedited service. I do not think this was fair since they cannot tell me what happened to the last card. I asked about certified mail or them paying for a new one to help me out. They don't help; they just stick to the script that they can mail another one.
A bank of this size should be able to help its customers in this situation. I spoke with a supervisor, and she stuck to the same script. Their number is 18778557201.
