I have had direct TV for 4 years. I have always had my payment automatically drafted from my account and never really had a problem until I upgraded my equipment. They came, took my old and gave me new everything. About a month later I noticed almost $100 in charges on m account. They said it was for PPV I had ordered with my remote that were stored on a chip in my remote/box. They claimed that since I didn't I have phone or internet access to the box, these purchases were stored so that I would be charged later. How I can tell a box with my remote to rent something without phone or Internet access is beyond me but they say it is possible. I never rented with my remote, I ALWAYS called and ordered my movies. They removed the charges after a heated discussion with customer service but I was informed that my account would be flagged to NEVER be allowed to receive a credit due to PPV dispute!!! I still don't know how all that was charged to me, even though they say I ordered it!!
