Cancelled Direct TV services 12/3 and called on 1/30 to pay final bill. I was informed that I am being charged for a Pacquiao fight from 11. Spoke with supervisor who was no help. I have no knowledge of this fight. I was told that the cable box I returned showed that I ordered it via remote but without a home phone I was not charged. This is a direct tv problem and if a customer doesn't have a home phone they shouldn't be able to order pay per view via remote control. I informed supervisor that I no knowledge of this fight and never viewed it. How do I know that this actually showed up on the cable box/card and customers without home phones can view PPV without being billed. Sounds like a problem Direct TV needs to resolve. Further asked supervisor to pull up my account and make sure I hadn't been charged for that event back in 2010 and was told he couldn't. He threatened to send me to collections and if a wanted a copy of my 2010 bills to find it or send a letter to Direct TV to request it. This seems like a scam to get extra money from customers from years ago. Most people would just pay in order not to deal with the headache of resolving the matter. I believe that right is right and wrong is wrong. Direct TV is definately wrong.
