Horrible Company-Early Cancellation Fees - DirecTV service

I was charged $480 something odd dollars for canceling my service early. I was told by a rep that that is Direct TVs policy. That is just utterly ridiculous. It's silly to charge loyal customers that amount of money because they changed their mind! I can't believe it's legal to lock someone into a 2-year contract. It's 2013!!! You will never keep customers, and people will always owe you because no one in there right mind would pay such an outrageous fee for canceling a service. You loose, Direct TV, with a policy of such. Maybe I cancelled my service because I found a better deal or because I lost my job and could no longer afford the luxury of cable tv. If I did change my mind or improved my finances, and thought about returning to service with Direct TV, the first thing that would come to mind is a 2-year contract and a $480 worth of cancellation fees. No one does contracts anymore Direct TV! Give your customer the option of changing their mind! If you have a great service, customers will always come back. It's please get on board with your competitors instead of stiffing customers with early cancellation fees. I'll NEVER recommend Direct TV to anyone or become a customer to its' services again! This is ROBBERY!!!
