My experience with Travelocity (or as I now call them, Traveloshitty) has pushed me beyond the edge of sanity. Note, these statement are all %u201Copinions%u201D on my part, but accurate as I see them%u2026
1. Their obviously %u201Coutsourced%u201D sales activity is a disaster in both language and training of personnel.
2. They have been responsible for and admitted to %u201Cnon-disclosure of prices prior to booking%u201D in my case
3. They convinced me to book a package trip instead of separate air, hotel, car, in order to save money. This ended up costing me $306.00 more
4. They cancelled my previous arrangements before finalizing and pricing out my new ones.
5. They promised call back, after call back, after call back. Not until I threatened them did they respond.
6. Pulling and reviewing the taped call to determine my claims took 10 days (and many furious emails and calls) instead of the 2 days promised.
7. After admitting the agent did not quote me fares before booking, they offered me a refund of only 50% of the overage rate.
8. When I finally took this trip, they had screwed up the hotel arrangements, and I had to pay out of pocket for an already paid day at the hotel.
9. So now, I have overpaid by $434.00
Lessons learned:
do not use trevelocity
if you must%u2026don not let them book an all inclusive package
it is far cheaper to make each arrangement individually
