Expedia Cruises Misrepresenting Cabin Class - cruise

Cruise vacations are one of the fastest growing and fulfilling way to travel today. There itineraries and cabin classes to fit every budget. One of the nicest options for adults is to upgrade to "Spa Cabin" class, which places your cabin within close proximity of the quieter, adults only area if the ship, and may also provide specil access to spa facilities and services on board the vessel. I recently booked and placed a $400 deposit on a Carnival Cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. This non-refundable, specially-offered price was a premium-priced upgrade over the base, inside category cabin. As it turns out... The "Spa Cabin" category does not even exist on my vessel, nor does it exist on most of the Carnival Cruise fleet! The category code associated with my specific reservation, equated to my paying extra to ensure I got the basic inside cabin! Discussions with the "customer service" team at Expedia, left me less than thrilled and several hundred dollars more out-of-pocket, to secure another upgraded cabin. They committed to resolving this web design error to prevent other customers from making the same mistake. The Expedia.com cruise website still contains the same error - or is it a classic "bait and switch" technique? Time will tell.
