Just don't do it! You will regret it if your flight itinerary changes. These people are so slow at their call center that you will spend at least 2.5 hours on each call. Every time they put you on hold, it's at least 20 minutes. Plus, I had an enormous amount of difficulty understanding many of their customer reps. Their Indian accents are so thick that you have to ask them to repeat things.
They will try to add an additional layover if a flight is cancelled or they will just try to refund your ticket. They will also take zero responsibility for changes. I had already called SAS to check on flights when a connecting flight was cancelled to find out what was available and who was responsible for this change. Thank goodness I did that because I was armed with plenty of helpful info to get the earlier flight that solved everything.
When the return itinerary had a flight cancellation, it was another fight. The thing I thought was interesting was that Travelocity has 48 hours to fix the problem. Well, the idiots would not help me fix the issue on a Friday because they still had 24 hours left to resolve it. I called over the weekend but I got zero help the Travelocity rep said their SAS contact office was closed over the weekend. Gees, go figure! Their solution on that following Monday was to tell me that they would refund the money for my return trip. Yeah, right! I guess they thought I was moving to Denmark and returning to the States was unnecessary. I told the guy his solution was completely unacceptable and i wanted a new return itinerary. I did get my flight changed although we did have to return a day later.
Again, my advice would be to purchase tickets directly from the airline. I had to jump through a lot of unnecessary hoops to just save about $200. Ridiculous but I did learn a very important lesson. Travelocity is another company on my "banned" list.
