In July, we bought a timeshare from Grupo Mayan. As part of the payment, we agreed to trade in our timeshare in Grand Cayman. The trade in agreement we signed was with Travel Around the World. No one contacted us from the company so we called them in September. A sales person convinced us, with false and misleading information, to pay them $1850 to keep the timeshare ourselves. A couple days later we called back to say we wanted to trade it in, as originally planned. They told us this would cost $795 and we agreed to that. They said when we signed the Power of Attorney to trade it in, they would refund us the difference, which was $1055. After numerous phone calls over a 3 month period, nothing has been refunded and they still have not transferred our timeshare to them. So now they have our money and our timeshare. They promise to call back, e-mail us back, send a check, etc. And none of this ever happens.
