My husband and myself received an invitation by mail - (timeshare offer) in Portland Maine. As we had another timeshare, we thought
about a trade-in, so we proceeded forth with this idea. Of course,
as we asked about the trade-in, with all parties in agreement, this was acceptable. All paperwork for the trade-in was then signed.
Conveniently, the first payment was due the following month. After
making the first payment, another month went by then the letter
from Festiva arrived, which stated that due to the fact that our property was not on the list of properties available for transfer, they were unable to process our trade-in. Of course, we would have to take all rights and responsibilities associated with this property. There was a contact number if we had any questions. We contacted this company immediately, and you guessed it, we were pass the time frame to void the contract.
After repeated phone calls, for two years, you guessed it again,
there was no resolve for this unfair and scandalous business practice. We were stuck with the payments and everything else that is associated with timeshare ownership.
