My brother and I rented a condo for the winter in angel fire with a different property management business, and our lease was taken over by Mr. "Bubba" Davis from angel fire prudential without our knowledge or agreement. We found out he had our lease when we tried to pay rent and the other property management company informed us it was to be made at a different location. We went and paid our rent and he seemed upstanding... in our original lease the clause for late fees was 6% of the rent which was due after 10 days late. One month we were 14 days late and he came to our condo to collect. The condo was uninsulated and we were huddled around the fire when he came pounding on the door. He demanded we pay him immediately with guests in our house embarrassing both my brother and I. When we finally moved out and tried to get our deposit Bubba never returned one of our calls. We finally had to go to his office where we found him playing video games behind his desk oblivious to his ringing phone. He then with-held more then half our deposit without giving receipts in accordance with our lease agreement. When we asked him for the receipts he said, "Don't come into my office acting like a horses ass!" Totally out of line. He went on further to say that we, "live like a bunch of pigs and he didn't have to give us anything." He had no receipts for the cleaning work that never was done because the condo was spotless... Cleaned way better then when we moved in. He said it cost 90 dollars to do the dishes that had already been done, and another $150 to clean the carpet which was stained by the previous tenant, and had been thuroughly been cleaned. I hope anyone that does business with him understands they will get ripped off in one way or another. We would sue him if it didn't cost ten times as much to get a lawyer.
