I would not recommend that anyone make a bid through Priceline. I was searching for a hotel and placed a bid. It popped up with one hotel that accepted my bid and then it made the reservation. I would not have chosen that hotel as it was not in the area I needed to be in. I called Priceline to see if I could cancel the reservation or change to a different hotel, they said no, they cannot make any changes to a reservation.
So if you need to be in a specific location I highly recommend that you do not use Priceline.
Expedia allows you to choose your hotel and you can cancel your reservation if needed.
