In May my spouse and I attended a 90 min presentation at the Villages Resort in Flint Texasthat lasted almost 7 hours long. We caved in eventually and unfortunately and rought into a resort that seemed cheap enough and we were promised that first there would be no maintenance fees which later switch to fixed maintenance fees. Thta it was great investment that could only be brought today and all that other yada yada..
When I realized that there was a possible issue with being issued a blue week I immediately recognized comething and we called to ask the manager who had done the sale and she told us to just call her and she'd get us any week we want no problem and to just forget about it. And this is how we ended up not cancelling the first time.in juen we attend an "owner's update" meeting which we believed was to fill us in on stuff that we didn't understand yet. We came prepared (we though we had) and asked them every question we had. Turns out we can't use blue weeks all year we do have maintenance but check this out... That they've only gone up $15.00 in the last 20 years! There were no mention of exchange fees between resorts which I found out later on and we were told we had to upgrade to a red week diamond plus in order to use it. Figuring we had no other choice we accepted (I was already obligated to the first one so what the heck. The condition was that it would be a new contract and the other one would be null. The sales man says of course and then we sign off. Later on we recieve a letter stating that my husband is the proud owner of the deed at fox river resorts dated june 24 (when we had done that deed in th beg of may). What in the world? When I call the corporate office days after the opwner's update meeting I first hear that I can't cancel the Holiday hills resort because I still have fox river and that they won;t show me my contract and to just read the own at home for more information and I was just curious about some information I didn't understand. It's been two months and I already hate it.
So please everyone don't come on here to patronize us cause we are young and dud. I knew we are and we're trying to get if fixed now. This is just a warning to anyone else... Please run far far away! It makes me feel a tad bit better knowing we're helping someone else avoid this heartache.
