Diamond Resorts continually raise maintenance fees. They also assess random upgrade fees and timeshare owners have very little representation.
For example we were just assessed a Water Assessment fee of $2900 in addition to our yearly maintenance fees. Yearly maintenance fees for our Poipu Hawaii Property runs over $1350 in addition to the $279 yearly diamond resorts fees. How could anyone say this is a bargain or value vacation when yearly fees to stay at a resort are over $2500/year averaged over the next 5 years. This is an extreme misrepresentation from what they promise in their time share presentation during which time we purchased into Diamond Resorts.
I suspect that there are many other owners in my situation who are utterly frustrated and disgusted at Diamond Resorts underhanded policies. Is there a class action lawsuit in the works anywhere? Please let me know.
