On November 10, I flew from Springfield, MO to Orlando, FL. I use a wheelchair, and from the ticket counter to the curb, Allegiant personnel were very helpful. I had a sprained left arm from a fall, so was a bit less mobile than usual. The ticket agent assisted me with tags, and I was not charged for checking my walker, which I had forgotten to check when I made my flight arrangements online. When I arrived at the gate, the gate agents filled out the card for my wheelchair and attached it for me. They went down the jetway with me, assisted me with my purse and backpack, and never once made me feel like a burden or hassle. Ditto the flight crew. Ditto the ground crew in Orlando, who took me to the loo, then picked up my checked items and rolled me right out to the curb to wait on my family. Add to this a reasonable airfare, and this was a wonderful experience. Hopefully the economy will pick up soon and the luggage fees, etc. Will go away.
