I departed washington, dc on june 14th. I purchased my ticket on the 13th because i needed to be home to assist my mom with funeral arrangement for my dad. On this trip i needed wheelchair assistance because i recently had back and foot surgery. My departure from dc to huston was fine, when i arrived in huston i was transported to the gate for flight 4101 to jackson ms. I informed the gate agent that upon my apprival in jackson ms i would need assistance there. Once the plane arrived in jackson ms the attendants asked me to wait for my wheelchair to arrive, i waited onboard the aircraft for 15 mins and no chair arrived. I was told i would have to leave the aircraft because this was a continua-ting flight. I got off the aircraft by myself with no assistance by crew members. This was very hard for me to walk the jetway with a cane and carrying a bag with me. I was in a great deal of pain. When i exited the jetway the counter person that was boarding passengers called for a wheelchair 3 times. The wheelchair never arrived after about 40 minutes the gate agent himself went and got a wheelchair for me. However all of this inconvenice cause me to miss my appt. With my mom at the funeral home and left me in a great deal of pain. I have a return flight on july 16th fro jackson ms to was-dc. Please tell me what can be done for my pain and suffering at your airline expense.
