I was looking for airfare when a priceline pop-up came into where I was entering information and I ended up opening up a priceline.com search page. My computer began to freeze on almost every screen and I could not navigate around website and cancel option was never offered. Finally I just hit the power to my PC and when I got it back and running I went to priceline.com and went through the website.
When I read the policies I thought "ripoff" since it states that they are not responsible for false statements they make, any problems with using the website are not there fault, and it also lets you know that the software is not error free and neither is the website, but none of that is there responsibility. They do not stand behind their product and the only thing they do stand behind is the fact that if they obtain your credit card information and find a way to use it they will take as much as they can and never under any circumstances give it back.
I had entered some numbers when priceline first hooked me into there website and I was happy to see no offers had been accepted, but I was worried because I had 4 offers in the system. Luckily none of them were accepted and my highest ofer of 215.00 was far below the 275.00 offer priceline offered me. I sent a email to customer care and informed them of problems with website and asked if all requests could be cancelled. They emailed me saying that they had purchased tickets for me.
I wanted to fly from Phoenix to Chicago.instead they booked 2 adults and 1 child 2 years old on a flight from phoenix to pittsburg 2 hour layover and then to chicago about 9 hours travel time. On none of these flights was my 2 year old girl, my girlfriend, or myself sitting next to each other. Flights home from chicago to charlotte to phoenix same way. I could not believe it I tried to offer incredible flexibility to flights that I did not even order on a website I did not look for. They did nothing but offer propaganda and political jargon to my concerns and complaints. I could not believe this was possible and I still am in shock.
They charged me around $800 dollars. Afterwards when I had a PC technician look at my computer due to the trouble I had when on the website he informed me that 'spyware' had been installed on my computer and that it was a program that allowed companies to access your internet activity. I was amazed that someone could come into my home take money from my account and there was nothing I could do about it.
I have read a great deal of complaints about priceline, and I would accept priceline as a legitimate business if they offered even a 1 hour window that you could cancel your requests, but they must intend to profit from human error or what they are making look like human error. I must say I have never heard of such a thing. It is against most airline regulations for a 2 year old to fly without supervision, and if that was the case and she could not board one of the flights priceline's policy clearly states that is not their fault and nothing will be done to compensate.
