Ripoff the business that doesnt give a dam

My husband booked a suite in this hotel months before our wedding, explaining it would be our wedding night, and confirmed the time and date of our arrival. Two weeks before the wedding he called and confirmed the room. No problem. Wedding day arrives, and we drive to the hotel. Only to be told that the persons who had the room the night before have not vacated it, and we couldn't have the ocean view we wanted.

They showed us the room they WANTED to give us... A view of the parking lot to the front, and a six foot fence out the back window. We told them we would not accept it, and they should have moved the other people to a different room, telling them it had been booked for months. They told us we could not get a refund as they offered us an alternative.

We explained. As this was our wedding night, we would like it to be a bit romantic (hence the ocean view). No help, no refund... We decided to drive the hour back to where we had come from, and find a hotel. We wrote to Best Western, and told them of the way we had been treated. All we got was a $25 voucher for money of our NEXT visit to a B.W. AAARRGH! And that was supposed to make up for ruining our wedding plans?
