I purchased airline tickets in oct - nov. To travel in dec. I found out 2wks before travel I had to resched my flight a wk later - this was for two round trip tickets. I was never informed there was a no refund policy until I received my tickets. I paid first and got my tickets later. $2900. Back to having to resched a wk later.
I called the airline (Eithopian Airline and explained the situation they informed me since I purchased the tickets from an agent which was not one of their agents I had to go through them to resched. The airline states they only charge $50 a piece to resched. The travel agent charged $570. When informing the agent what the airline charged the agent replied he had to do a lot of hard work to resched. That was the price or no tickets. My husband paid the $570. As he haven't seen his family in four years this was my first trip out of the country. Three days before travel, my husband and I found out he couldn't travel on the date we resched for, do to INS issues.
So again we contacted the agent, he states just hang on to the ticket's until your'e ready and we can resched. Well my husband can now travel and called the agent back to resched his ticket, I wanted my ticket refunded the airline states for this transaction turning the unused tickets in and buying another would be a $150 penalty. The agent told my husband he got him another ticket but it's going to be another $285 and my ticket was turned in my $1450 ticket but he doesn't know when the airline will reimburse my $.
So this have been a trip to hell and back. So all in all I've spent initially $2900. $570.285. One ticket at $1450 with no return and nothing but yelling and screaming from the agent when calling the ofc and refusal to talk or even tell me the stat of my refund..
