In the summer of 2001 I purchased a thre part vacation package from Ramada Plaza Resorts from a phone call they placed to me soliciting my business.
The total package to start I charged on my AARP credit card in the amount of $198.
When I made reservations on the package I made the following payments:
Orlando vacation $38. (5 days-4nights) Check #2247
Williamsburg, Va $l00. (3 days-2nights) AARP Credit Card
Las Vegas, Nv $50. (4 days-3nights) Check # 2248
We arrived in Orlando May 7th, with directions to pick up our hotel vouchers at the Orlando Welcome Center located at Diplomat Resort.
It was not a Ramada Inn, it was a AmericInn, which was filthy dirty, smelly, and we had cockroaches in our room.
They also charged us a $20. Check in charge.
After seeing the conditions they expected us to stay in we demanded a refund and told them to cancel our whole vacation package. They did refund our $20. Check in fee.
I have tried on many occasions to contact Ramada Plaza Resorts with no success. Nobody seems to be able to help me get through to the proper place.
I am very disappointed with Ramada Plaza Resorts, I thought they were affiliated with Ramada Inn. We have occasionally stayed at Ramada Inns with comfort and cleanliness.
If this is the way they do business now we will never stay in Ramada Inns as we travel. We are retired and do travel a lot.
